Research Notes

Research notes by Marlo.

I make artworks that stage bodies slipping through computational systems, using drawing, animation, writing, web-based media, performance, and installation.

My body of work is a field where the inquiry happens. I produce situated, practice-based knowledge, where artworks and research inform each other. My methodology includes first-person embodied logs, analysis of human–machine interaction, and dialogue between art and science. I become curious when scientists' readings and mine do not fit.

How can embodied interaction with AI systems make slips perceptible, and what forms of knowledge emerge from that encounter?

What if art’s value to science is not translation, but making unanswered questions felt?
